My son is a first grader which means FUN for me when it comes to READING great books. (although he INSISTS on holding the book himself and reading it to ME, but that’s ok)
Right now he enjoys LOTS of fun easy reader picture books and he is in LOVE with Tedd Arnold’s Fly Guy series. Are you familiar with these? Boys especially love them and I admit I, too, chuckle at the illustrations and funny text. I’ve fallen in love with a pesky fly. Who knew?
So now when we visit the library or the bookstore, my son LOOKS for TEDD ARNOLD on the front cover. Although a beginning reader, he’s already learned to look for his favorites.
