Discovering a Lost Treasure

Yesterday, I almost cried when I saw the book Lucille by Arnold Lobel posted on Vintage Kids’ Books.

When I saw the cover posted on Vintage I was swept back to a time when I first began reading on my own.

As a children’s book writer, that would be the ultimate– A child connecting with your story in such a way that pulls at her heartstrings even when she’s older.

To know that you’ve had a part in a child discovering the joys of reading that will last a lifetime, makes all those sleepless nights filled with ideas and long days staring at the computer worthwhile.

Thank you Arnold Lobel for such a memorable story and Vintage Kids’ Books for sharing!

If you have not visited Vintage Kids’ Books, check it out.  You just might find a long-lost treasure!
