And the Award Goes to. . .

This Caldecott Medal winner is a must read!  I will admit when I first pulled it from the shelf I thought it was a decorative doorstopit’s heavy–but I was hooked from the moment I began.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick

Although the storyline captures the reader on its own, the beautiful illustrations and surprising movie clip extras add yet another level of exciting suspense to the book.  I’ve never read anything like this one.  It has jumped to #1 on my list of favorites.

But don’t just take my word for it.  Yesterday I noticed that children’s book author, Nancy Sanders, had just read (AND LOVED) it too!  -Check out her comments at .
