Warm Up with a Great Book!

Here are a list of some of my favorites:

Quilt Books about Heritage:

  • The Keeping Quilt by Patricia Polacco
  • The Patchwork Quilt by Valerie Flourney
  • The Quilt Story by Tomie dePaola
  • Quilt Counting by Lesa Cline-Ransome

Other Notable Quilt Stories:

  • Eight Hands Round: A Patchwork Alphabet by Ann Whitford Paul (quilt patterns and history of quiltmaking)
  • Sam Johnson and the Blue Ribbon Quilt by Lisa Campbell Ernst (quiltmaking competition between the men and women)
  • The Quiltmaker’s Gift by Jeff Brumbeau (king desires a handsewn quilt by the magical quiltmaker)
  • Quilt Alphabet by Lesa Cline-Ransome (fun quilt book of clues)
